Donald W. Short
President, The Beverage Institute for Health & Wellness
The Coca-Cola Company
Don Short founded and is president of The Beverage Institute for Health & Wellness. The Institute, an affiliate of The Coca-Cola Company, is a global research organization. Its mission is to help consumers all over the world lead healthier lives through beverages. He is an officer of The Coca-Cola Company.
Prior to this position, Mr. Short was President and CEO of The Minute Maid Company, the world's leading marketer of juices and juice drinks.
In 2000, Mr. Short was President of the Company's Africa and Middle East Group, where he was responsible for Company operations in 70-plus countries.
In 1997, Mr. Short was named President of the India Division, where he was responsible for restructuring the Company's business system there and building its presence in the marketplace.
From 1993 to 1996, he served as Senior Vice President, Retail Marketing for Coca-Cola (Japan) Co. Mr. Short joined Coca-Cola USA in 1977 in Coca-Cola Fountain. He held a number of positions, the last being Vice President, Southwest Region.
Active in the Houston community, Mr. Short serves on the Executive Boards of Houston Grand Opera, and Hermann Park Conservancy.
Tom Shipley
Director, Global Industry Development
Anheuser-Busch, Inc.
Tom Shipley develops strategy and tactics to enhance the image of beer among key audiences nationally and internationally, and helps generate growth in the beer industry.
Shipley began his career at Anheuser-Busch in 1989 as a mobile training specialist, traveling around the United States delivering seminars to bartenders and restaurant servers on how to care for and serve beer. In 1991, Shipley joined the regional marketing programs and executed national consumer awareness programs. He also led the company's on-site marketing manager for western Tennessee in 1994. In this position he worked with wholesalers and retailers on a variety of sales, marketing and promotional programs.
Shipley returned to St. Louis in 1996 to join Anheuser-Busch's training department where he worked with company district managers in a variety of areas such as budgeting, sales, market planning and pricing. In 1997, Shipley returned to the field as a senior market manager, leading marketing and sales activities for eastern Colorado.
In 2000, Shipley joined the Marketing Operations group as senior manager. In this role he managed the company's marketing planning process. In 2002, Shipley became brand manager for Budweiser, developing and implementing marketing programs to support the world's best-selling premium lager. He directed a wide variety of marketing functions, including TV, print and radio advertising production; research; planning; and packaging innovation. He was promoted to his current role in August 2005.
Shipley is a graduate of University of Dayton with a bachelor's degree in American Studies. He resides in St. Louis with his wife, Rachelle, and their two children.

Clay Gregory
President
Jackson Family Wines
Clay Gregory has more than 15 years of broad experience in the luxury, super and ultra-premium segments of the wine industry. He is currently President of Jackson Family Wines a collection consisting of more than a dozen independently owned and operated wineries and brands in prestigious California winegrowing regions such as Napa Valley, Sonoma, Monterey and Santa Barbara County. Gregory is responsible for all marketing, winemaking and general management of the various wineries within Jackson Family Wines.
Prior to his current position, Gregory was President of the Napa Valley Vintners and the Napa Valley Wine Auction. The NVV has more than 250 member wineries and is dedicated to promoting and protecting the Napa Valley to media, trade and consumer audiences.
Gregory's role with the NVV was preceded by his position of Vice President and General Manager of Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa Valley, California. His diverse responsibilities included managing all winemaking, vineyard, marketing and visitor programs operations. In addition to his managerial duties, he oversaw the strategic direction of the winery, including the To Kalon Project, the first significant renovation and enhancement to the winery since its construction in 1966. Gregory's initial position with Robert Mondavi was Brand Manager for Vichon Winery and Byron Vineyards and Winery.
Prior to his stint at Robert Mondavi, Gregory demonstrated his early love of wine through two years of “doing almost everything” at Congress Springs Vineyards, a small, family-owned winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. He tended vines, worked in the cellar, ran the tasting room and managed sales in Northern California.
Born in Manhattan Beach, California, Gregory grew up in northern California. He received his undergraduate and MBA degrees from San Jose State University, with a concentration in Marketing.
